In 2019, we are mobilizing alongside the leading application Too Good To Go by signing a national partnership. “With this partnership, we are consolidating our anti-waste strategy. The idea of Too Good To Go is part of a virtuous circle: the distributor does not lose his unsold goods, the consumer enjoys a low price, we forge a close bond and everyone takes action against food waste. Together we generate positive change. Through this partnership, Intermarché wishes to encourage as many of its business leaders as possible to join the anti-waste movement.

Establish better monitoring of use-by dates. Most of our points of sale offer products whose use-by date is very close at discounted prices. The packages are labeled in a conspicuous and clear manner. Original approaches such as the sale of “ugly fruits and vegetables” at reduced prices. Several tons of products have thus been valued in recent years. Work with companies specializing in the subject, Phénix, Comerso and Startway, to revalue our unsold items.
