TISSOT commitments
Ecology
Tissot is committed to the production of sustainable products, for the protection of the environment, by aligning with current European directives and regulations.
Ecology
The consideration of environmental, ethical and social criteria is firmly embedded in our procurement policy. We therefore only work with suppliers and subcontractors for whom we have the guarantee that they comply with the strict, clearly defined and contractual requirements that we impose on them in terms of environmental protection, safety and policy. social.
Ecology
While Swatch Group has invested in low consumption and high energy efficiency components and integrated circuits for several decades, we also operate our own photovoltaic and hydroelectric production units. Between 2013 and 2020, no less than five new plants were built, thus quadrupling our production of renewable energy. Even if this production remains modest, it is a contribution to the protection of the climate and the environment. In 2020, as in 2019, our various installations produced some 1,600,000 kWh.
Ecology
Swatch Group and the Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN) have agreed on voluntary measures which should enable us to reduce energy consumption and related CO2 emissions, and set a series of targets to this end. The voluntary agreement thus provides that CO2 emissions from production sites in Switzerland will be reduced by 27% by 2020 compared to 2013, and that at the same time, energy efficiency will be improved by 8%.
Solidarity
working conditions must reflect ethics and fairness, and protect occupational health and safety. So too, our business partners must respect human rights, adhere to our policy of zero tolerance to any violation of these rights, including child labor and forced labor, and consider the set of ecological and social factors relevant to their activity. Only raw materials supplied in strict compliance with these requirements are admitted, beyond their sole compliance with the law.
