SANT’EGIDIO

The Community of Sant'Egidio was born on February 7, 1968. In the meantime, it has evolved into a lay Christian movement with approximately 80,000 members in more than 70 countries. The spirituality of Sant'Egidio links prayer with a concrete commitment to the poor. In Belgium, among other things, there are initiatives for children, young people and the elderly in the urban periphery. There are also actions in favor of the homeless, newcomers, refugees and other people living with disabilities.
