The Vanoise National Park, in the south-east of France in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, is located between the Tarentaise and Maurienne valleys in the French Alps, and bordered by the Grand Paradis National Park, in Italy. Hundreds of kilometers of hiking trails criss-cross various protected areas, where you can spot Alpine ibexes, among other animals. Around and within the park are villages and ski resorts like Val d'Isère and Tignes
