AR-MADA

Non-profit association (law of 1901) and NGO. Created in 1999 on the initiative of a group of friends. It brings together more than 3,000 volunteer health professionals (doctors, dentists, nurses, midwives, physiotherapists, etc.) and organizes 6 medical humanitarian missions per year, on 4 routes simultaneously. 4,000 to 6,000 consultations per mission, accompanied by care, distribution of medicines and implementation of treatments and advice… This represents 70 to 80 people on average per mission and almost two weeks in the heart of the bush. Each mission, in total autonomy, travels using diverse and varied means of transport: minibuses, trucks, motor barges, canoes, sometimes even in zebu carts... to reach isolated villages on the Tsiribihina river and the canal Pangalanes.
