Since 1845, the SPA has acted for the protection and well-being of animals throughout France. It intervenes through numerous actions: collecting abandoned and mistreated animals and having them adopted, defending animals in distress, raising public awareness of animal welfare, including young generations and communities, etc.
Through its rescues in the field and its awareness-raising actions, the SPA acts both on the causes and the consequences in order to eradicate the abandonment and mistreatment of animals.
